Should You Buy a Phil and Teds Double Stroller?

!±8± Should You Buy a Phil and Teds Double Stroller?

The Phil and Teds double stroller is becoming hugely popular, not just with parents of twins but parents of two young children.

Lightweight frames, ergonomic seats, lockable swivel wheels, individual sun hoods, and a large shopping basket, are just some of the features that can be found in the Phil and Ted strollers range.

The easily adjustable handle height saves backache, so whether you're short or tall you won't feel the strain.

Durable and washable materials make these baby buggies easy to clean - hence hygienic for your little cherubs.

A selection of accessories are also available including double storm covers, lambskin liners, cocoons, and parcel tray pack cells. Even a sun mesh can be purchased, for use in sunny climates or where insects may be an issue.

You can purchase coordinating sleeping bags to keep children warm and cozy in all weathers. They are suitable for use from birth right up to 5 years old.

The sport three wheeler is great for twins or for two children of different ages. You simply can purchase a 'doubles kit' and you have transport one baby and one child 6 months plus. Some models include the 'doubles kit', such as the tandem pushchair.

If you want to transport two newborn twins, then you can go for the Phil and Teds twin stroller. The seats sit side by side but can be adjusted independently, so one child can have a nap while the other can sit upright. Practically designed they still fit through standard doorways.

Five point safety harnesses and double brakes help to ensure your precious children remain safe while they travel in their Phil and Teds double stroller.

So should you buy one? Probably, but first check that you are getting the best deal on one.

Phil and Ted's Explorer 2010 Review

!±8± Phil and Ted's Explorer 2010 Review

So many parents are active these days, wanting to stay healthy even if that means taking the kids along for a walk or jog. The Phil and Ted's Explorer is an exercise-friendly stroller that has been designed to accommodate more rugged terrain and the sleek design is also stylish for parents in the city. The Explorer is so versatile and maneuverable that it would fit perfectly into any active parent's lifestyle and it has just gotten a makeover with lots of new and improved features in the 2010 model.

One of the best things about the Phil and Ted's Explorer is that you can turn it from a single to a double and then back again. The removable toddler seat can hold up to 35 pounds and can be placed behind or in front of the permanent seat with its unique inline buggy design.

There is also an infant seat adapter that can be purchased separately; this will make it easy for you to use from newborn until preschool. Plus, the new design on the Phil and Ted's Explorer lets parents use the infant seat adapter AND the doubles kit rear seat at the same time, for newborn plus a toddler.

The stroller is equipped with air filled, 12 inch tires that make it easy to move through most types of terrain. This is especially great for those who like to hike through trails or spend a lot of time at parks where there are not a lot of sidewalks. Also, the front wheel turns 360 degrees for easier maneuverability but can also be locked into place for improved stability and performance.

If you are using the Phil and Ted's Explorer as a single stroller, there is a good amount of storage space. There is a nice sized basket under the main seat along with two side pockets on each side of the canopy. As a double stroller you still have the side pockets, however the basket is used as leg space for the second passenger if placed in the back.

One of the new improvements made on the Phil and Ted's Explorer is a larger and more versatile sun canopy. The canopy can move up the handle bar a bit to make room for a toddler sitting in the attached second seat or to make room for a taller child sitting in the main seat. You can also move the canopy from the typical position above the seat to in front of the child if you happen to be walking into the sun. There is a peek-a-boo window on the top of the canopy so that you can easily look in on your child.

More features and improved enhancements:

An adjustable ergonomic handle that works well for those parents who are taller One-step foot pedal to lock the back wheels Five different color options (mostly as seat inserts) Vented seat back for ultimate comfort Instant locking, one handed fold Light-weight frame and small when folded for easy storage

Disadvantages
This is one of the most versatile and easy to use all terrain strollers on the market today and user reviews so far have been outstanding. The only disadvantages about this almost perfect stroller is that it is pretty expensive and many of the fabulous extras are sold separately including the doubles kit, cup holder and infant seat adapter. Also, when the main seat is in the flat position, there is no sun protection. The mesh sun screen is sold separately as well.
